- If you have not already done so:
- Review the Installable Version Release Notes.
- Ensure that the Hardware Requirements are met.
- Ensure that the Software Requirements#Required for Installation are met.
- Configure the MySQL Server so it is ready for use.
- Backup the platform database.
- Use the standard SoftwareAG installer to install the platform.

- Start the Application Server
- When done, proceed to Configuring the Application Server
