Users that have the Manage Tenants and Company Capabilities permission can approve or reject package publication
When a Package is Published, the ISV receives an email notification, requesting approval to Publish the Package to the Global Catalog. The ISV should respond in a timely manner to Package Approval requests.
The email notification is sent to the email address specified in Support Service Configuration
The email notification contains links for the following actions:
- Approve
- If approved:
- A dialog box appears that will form the content of the email message to the Publisher, with the following options:
- (Optional) Notify additional email addresses (via cc:)
- (Optional) Include comments to the Publisher, up to 200 characters
- The Publisher is notified by email (the Publisher email address is specified in the Support Email Address)
- The Package is Published to the Catalog, and placed at the bottom of the list by default
- Reject
- If rejected:
- A dialog box appears that will form the content of the email message to the Publisher, with the following options:
- (Optional) Notify additional email addresses (via cc:)
- (Required) Include comments to the Publisher, up to 200 characters
- The Publisher is notified by email (the Publisher email address is specified in the Support Email Address)
- The Publisher should make any suggested adjustments and resubmit the request
A copy of the message (approve or reject) is sent to the Service Provider.
- Considerations
-
- The Catalog contains packages:
- that have been Published and Approved by ISVs
- which are available for installation by Subscribers
- The list of packages in the Catalog can vary, depending if the approval comes from the ISV or the MSP
- Packages approved at the MSP level are available for installation to MSPs and their Tenants
- Packages approved at the ISV level are available for installation to ISVs and their Tenants, however, MSPs are not automatically granted access to the Catalog
- To grant installation privileges of these packages to MSPs, enable the Include Global ISV Catalog option in MSP Settings, Catalog Configuration section
- If the Include Global ISV Catalog option in is disabled, the MSP Catalog is displayed, which includes packages approved by the MSP, only
- See Packages for information on adding and publishing packages
- When an ISV approves a package, it is displayed in the Catalog by default
