Quick Filters

Quick Filters make it easier for a user to select the records the report runs on. You select fields to be displayed at the top of the report.

When users run the report, they can specify values for those fields and click [Run Again] to see the results. For a example, a report that runs across all divisions of the corporation could be easily modified to show results solely for the Eastern division.

To enable Quick Filters:

  1. Edit (customize) the report.
  2. In the Filters tab, check the box labeled Show Quick Filter Layout Configuration'.
    A Quick Filter tab appears to the right of the Filter tab.
  3. In the Quick Filter tab:
    • Specify whether the Quick Filter section is shown initially collapsed or expanded.
    • Select the number of columns of quick filter fields to display
    • Select which fields appear on the report, for use as quick filters.
      Picklist, date fields, and checkbox fields can be filtered.
