6 Simple Ways to Introduce Applications into Your Work Environment

If you've recently signed up for the platform, we have some quick getting started pointers. If you're a veteran, consider this a short refresher.

Create a personalized home page for the head of your company or department

Want to show off the great work you and your team are doing? That executive dashboard gives the busy bosses in your company a quick view of what's going on in your operation which can include status on prospects, a list of completed team activities, or a forecast on opportunities. The home page is an excellent personalized portal to all of your business information.

Streamline data input for your business

The platform includes common fields in typical objects (Prospects, Accounts, Contacts, etc.), but maybe you don't need to track everything. You can quickly remove these fields by customizing the tab and deleting fields you don't want from the form layout. You can also re-order them in the way you think your team would most likely enter in the data. Of course, you can add fields as well.

Clean your data BEFORE importing it

Data coming from one system into another can be challenging if you don't take time to prepare the date properly. We recommend that if you are importing data into the platform, you properly set up the object you want to import to, cleanse your data thoroughly by fixing bad data and duplications, and then perform the import. This will speed up the process. If you have related data you need to import, you may want to sign up for a coaching session so we can teach you how to properly relate the information in the platform.

Create views in objects

You probably don’t always need to see all the data available when you're looking at a tab. The best way is to create views that make sense for your business, include the fields you want, how you want the information sorted, who you want to be able to see the view, filter information by content or date, and even color-code rows based on specific data. You can even use this view in your home page as a widget.

Invite your team

It sounds simple, but a platform like ours thrives when there are multiple people utilizing it. By storing common structured information you want to share and track, everyone in your company can benefit from the platform's capabilities. And with role-based permissions properly set, you ensure that sensitive data stays secure.

Create a simple data policy to update a team member of new records

By customizing a tab with a data policy, you can send notification emails to specific team members whenever something happens to a record. You can filter these changes by specifying very discrete criteria as well. For example, you only want to send an email to Steve if a new record is added where the field Status equals "Closed won."
