If you have questions about any of these issues, follow the guidelines to resolve the problem.

I Get an Error Message about File Size

When you import a data file that is greater than 1MB in size, we will check the available storage space, and notify you if this import will exceed that limit. What can you do to fix this? Lookup your available storage, and consider these options:

A field is required for the import, but it is not present in my data (CSV import file)

  1. Add the required field to your current electronic system
  2. Add the required information in each record
  3. Export the data to a CSV file

A field is missing in the database, but is present in the CSV import file (my data)

  1. Before you import your data, modify the object to include your field
  2. See the online help topic on Customizing Objects for more information.

My file has First and Last Name, but the import page expects Full Name or Primary Contact

  1. Import using last name only
  2. Import your Contacts to pick up the first name

After I imported my data, I noticed mistakes - how do I delete it and correct this issue?

  1. Create a view of the data you wish to delete
  2. Use the Mass Delete option to remove the imported data
  3. Import your data again

My business deals directly with individuals, not businesses (Accounts)

To setup a B2C configuration, you can customize the Contacts tab, as follows:

  1. Go to Designer > Data > Objects > Contacts. Click the [Form Layouts] tab, and find the ‘Related To Lookup’ field.
  2. Click the Edit icon and change the Display Attributes to 'Not Required'. This will disconnect the Accounts tab from your Contacts, and you can use the Contacts tab to manage your clients.

Can I import data that is not an Account / Contact / Prospect / Opportunity?

We recommend that you create a new object first, and add all the field types you need. You can then import your data into this new object, and build out your application as needed.

I'm still stumped...
