The products must be imported as a CSV (comma-separate value file).
To import Products:
- Click Settings > Data Management > Import Data > Products
- In the Import Products page, Upload CSV File tab, click the [Browse] button to locate the product file you want to upload
- If you have created a map profile previously that maps the columns in the imported file to the fields in product records, select it from the Mapping Profile list
- Click the Next button. If you selected a Mapping Profile, it automatically maps the columns in the selected file to fields in the product record, and displays the association in the Map Columns tab.
- If your file contains additional columns that you can map to existing fields, select them
- Click the [Next] button, and click OK to confirm that the mapping options you selected are correct
- In the Set Attributes tab, select the option to merge the new record with an existing record if you are updating your database and don't want to create duplicate records
- To save the profile under a new name, enter the Mapping Profile Name and enter a new Mapping Profile Description
- Click the [Start Import] button to import the data into the platform, or click the [Save Profile & Exit] button to save this mapping profile and import the file later.
If you import the file now, the progress appears in the import processing queue in the Products tab.
