A Print Form is a standard record Form that you can use to generate an HTML or PDF page when you Print a Record.
A Print Form is easy to construct, because you can use the platform's interactive GUI to drag fields into the form and arrange their sequence. As an alternative, you can create a Print Template. It's slightly harder to construct, but you can create any kind of layout you want.
There are two kinds of Forms that are printable:
- The default Form (Default Layout) is printable when the Viewing a Record option specifies Sectional Layout.
- Other layouts can be viewed on screen, but can't be printed.
- When you Clone a Form, you can specify that it is to be used for Printing.
- In that case, the Viewing a Record option is set to Sectional Layout.
