About Processes

Processes are sequences of tasks (or steps) that are carried out by Case Workers. The sequence, or process flow can do conditional branching based on Case Data. Additionally, Timers can be created to perform actions at specified times.

Processes are built from Process Templates. The templates provide a reusable skeleton for the operations. The Process provides the specific dates and data for a given instance of the process.

Note:
Business Process Modeling (BPM) is concerned with creating a computerized process model that users can interact with. The models help to arrange task flow so that users get the information they need to carry out their tasks. Computerizing the model automates the sequence, and allows for accurate record-keeping.

Working with Processes

Starting a Process

The processes associated with a case are displayed in the sidebar of the Agent Console. If the process can be be started manually, a [Start] button is displayed. Clicking it initiates the process.

Processes can also be started using Rules.
