Settings > Administration > Global Resources > System Objects > Users

Because the Users object plays such an important role in the platform and is embedded in many processes, very little modification of the Users object is permitted. However, Fields in User Objects can be customized.

Custom Fields in User Objects

GearIcon.png > Customization > System Objects > User Fields

Fields can be added to the Users object. Such fields are often used to support an organization's business processes.

Users that have the Customize Objects permission can define custom fields for documents. 
Considerations
  • A maximum of 10 custom fields can be created
  • Fields can be reordered
  • Fields are accessed while creating/updating a user record

Add a Field

  1. Click GearIcon.png > Customization > System Objects > Users
  2. Choose one of the following options:
  • Click the [New Field] button to add a new Field

The added field(s) appear in the Basic Information Section of the user record.

Reorder Fields

To reorder fields:

  1. Click GearIcon.png > Customization > System Objects > Users
  2. Click the [Reorder] button, and use the Arrow Buttons to change the order of the fields
